Filament
Nylon
Tough, low-friction engineering plastic with excellent layer adhesion and wear resistance.
Nylon (polyamide) is prized for mechanical parts — gears, hinges, brackets — thanks to its strength, toughness and low friction coefficient. Very hygroscopic; must be dried before printing and kept dry.

Print tips
Dry thoroughly before printing. 240–260 °C nozzle, 80–100 °C bed. Enclosure recommended to prevent warping. Hardened nozzle advised for filled grades.
Safety & food contact
Low odor when dry; wet nylon can pop and emit moisture vapor.
Food contact: Some nylon grades are food-safe; verify with manufacturer.
